Basantapur Durbar Square - The world Heritage site in the Heart of Kathmandu Nepal

in travel •  6 years ago

BASANTAPUR Durbar Square is one of the three Palaces inside the Kathmandu Valley which is also listed in world Heritage Site UNESCO.

Several buildings in the Square collapsed due to a major earthquake on 25 April 2015. Durbar Square was surrounded with spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries.

The picture replicates the heritage site and the beautiful sunset & the picture itself shows the damage after the earthquake & the construction work ongoing.
