Before I start off this post, I wish to express my thanks to everyone who has been helping out with testing Steemit Worldmap! Because of you, we were able to:
- Find and fix bugs
- Gather ideas to improve the current existing features
- See the map grow and indulge in all your amazing posts
- Start working on the Steemit Worldmap you guys want

Our newest feature! When you add a post to the Steemit Worldmap, you will now get two extra links in the auto-comment. You can share these links with others.
- Author link: see the map with only the posts made by you
E.g.: http://www.steemitworldmap.com/?author=steemitworldmap - Post link: see the map with only your specific post
E.g.: http://www.steemitworldmap.com/?post=steemit-worldmap
Upcoming features:
- Tags: add tags and make the map sortable on these tags (e.g.: travel, photography, etc.)
- Data sort: make map sortable on a specific data-range
- Editors choice: shows a map with content that @blueorgy and @martibis deem exceptional
- Error comment: if user inputs wrong information, post a comment with what went wrong
- Flag: add a flag feature in case you notice a post has wrong coordinates, wrong tags, etc. on the map.
- Video: make a video tutorial on how to use Steemit Worldmap.
Upcoming post promotion:
Once Steemit Worldmap is more widely used we will put 3 posts in the spotlight every day. This way these posts and their creators get some exposure and people following us are guaranteed interesting reads! These posts will be added to the Editors Choice map as well. In order to make chance to be selected you will have to meet the following requirements:
- Your post needs to be on the Steemit Worldmap
- Your post needs to have the travel tag (we want to focus on one subject)
- Your post can not be more than 4 days old.
Thinking about following @steemitworldmap?
- High quality travel content and the possibility to discover the creators behind this content (once a day)
- Occasional Steemit Worldmap update, giving some insight on what we're working on behind the scenes (+- once a week)
1. Go to the Witness Voting Page on Steemit.com
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the vote box
3. Type (blueorgy) in the box and click vote.

Possibly it is the server that was down for a bit, just editing your post (adding a space or something), should fix it! If it's still not fixed after that, let me know!
