🚢 Awesome Holiday Cruise, but it's Good To Be Back!

in travel •  7 years ago

Last week I went on a seven day Western Caribbean cruise with my family and in-laws aboard Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas.

This was our second time cruising on Allure, it the first Oasis class ship we sailed on back in 2010. There is a new cruise director and a few other minor changes on the ship, but most things are just as we remembered them.

Ports of Call

The itinerary took us to Labadee, Haiti, then to Falmouth, Jamaica, then over to Cozumel, Mexico before returning to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Over the coming days ( and probably weeks), I will post about the different ports of call, the shore excursions we did, and fun things about the ship. When it comes to the ship itself, I won't put out too many spoilers for anyone who hasn't sailed Allure and may want to in the future.

It was a fun cruise, but I am happy to be back home.

Wow, that cruise ship looks enormous from that photo. It's like an entire city on the sea. I'm sure people can get lost on these ships.

Indeed - Allure is now the 2nd largest cruise ship in the world, just a few inches or so shorter than its sister ship Harmony. It holds over 6200 guests and 2100 crew members, but the amazing part is you never feel like there are that many people on the ship with you.

Fantastic photos! The clarity is really good.. Me and my wife went on a caribbean cruise, was the most amazing experience. Very nice post, Thank you!

Thank you- We try to go on a cruise once a year. I have many more pictures to come.

I hope that the journey you like and we will see new pictures and posts about this journey.

Thank you :-) Yep, I have many more pictures on the way.

Awesome post. Makes me want to book my next cruise and I love Royal Caribbean!

Thank you - Lot's more to come from our cruise. We are loyal to Royal Caribbean ourselves.

Our last cruise was on the Mariner of the Seas! We had a blast! Seven days was far too short for a cruise. Ha

sounds like that would be a good time! 🚢

Yes, we always have fun on our cruises. There are so many activities going on around the ship at any given time you never have a chance to get bored.

a boat ride seems like the most relaxing getaway.

I also like your ending non-bot photo ;)

:-) Thanks- Cruising is a great way to leave the 'real word' behind for a few days.

I hope you enjoyed much

We did - thank you.
