🎒 MINILAND USA - Pictures from LegoLand Florida

in travel β€’Β  7 years agoΒ

As you may have guessed from a few of my previous posts, I am a big fan of LegoLand. As a kid I would spend much of my free time building mini cities and spaceships with Lego bricks and now I get to experience it all over again with my son. A few times a year we drive up to Legoland to spend the day, enjoy the rides, and take part in the various seasonal events.

One of the really cool areas within the park is MINILAND USA. This section, just as it's name implies, replicates with incredible details many major cities around the United States built completely out of Lego Bricks. As you walk around you can press buttons next to the displays that animate various features of the builds.

Throughout the year, they host "scavenger hunt" events here in MINILAND were the kids go around looking for certain themed items they have hidden. Batman logos, R2D2 Droids, and Skeleton Bones have all been hidden for various events.

I don't want to spoil all the surprises in this amazing build, so I will just give a few sample images to give you an idea of you you can expect to see when you visit the park.

Throughout the park you will find many "life size" or large-scale character builds, and during some of the events they have live build which gives you a literal inside look at how they do it.

If you are ever planning a vacation down to the Orlando area (Disney, Universal Studios, etc) be sure to check out Legoland Florida - it's just 45 minutes south of the other theme parks.

Wow it's hard to believe all that stuff was made of Legos, I will have to check that out someday. It looks unbelievable!

It is really amazing to walk through and think of how much time it would take to build it all.

This is a little off-topic,
It's funny, I was thinking about you today because this is happening right next to my shop and it's all over the local news.

That is really cool - what a great way to hand over his business legacy.

I will be getting back to my gardening posts in December. The hurricane did more damage to my main system than I originally thought. I will have to rebuild a lot of it. Currently it is turned off and not growing anything.
