Kuala Paret is a unique river located in Aceh Tamiang, this river offers a panoramic view of the river that is equipped with beautiful cliffs, clear, fresh river water and heavy currents.

Aceh Province is indeed an attractive tourist destination, a tourist destination that is often visited by foreigners. It is a variety of tourist destinations that have been known to the world until they are still virgin and unknown to tourists. Kuala Paret is one of the tourist destinations that become international standard tourist attractions.

Kuala Paret is a unique river. This river has beautiful rock cliffs on the right and left side. Water flows from this rock cliff, visiting this place is becoming more popular after the beauty of the river is more widely used on social media. This makes many tourists curious so that visitors to this place increase every visitor.

Administratively, the location of this river is located in Kaloy Village, Tamiang Hulu District, Aceh Tamiang District, Aceh Province. To reach the Kuala Paret location, the maximum tourist must travel about 40 kilometers from the capital city of Aceh. Tamiang namely Karang Hulu. Unfortunately, only about 20 kilometers is the road that has a well paved road.

After arriving at Pulau Tiga Village, tourists must travel quite tiring and challenging. From Pulau Tiga Village to Kaloy Village which is a place where Kuala Lumpur is located to the right of the path, up the hill, and down the hill which is a plantation area.

If it is the first time you visit this tourist spot, tourists are advised to ask local tourists because the location of Kuala Paret is quite difficult to find and hidden. To go down the hill, visitors can use a rope tied to a large tree. The slope of this hill reaches 80 degrees and tourists must pass 50 meters.

Enchantment of Kuala Paret

When at the top of a hill, tourists can clearly see the Kuala Paret river flowing and snaking like a giant snake. The contrasting water color appears to be an oasis in the middle of the hills equipped with green trees. Lush trees that support the river also like and shady on this tourist spot.

When tourists arrive at the Kuala Paret location there will be a sound of gurgling of air being released and hit the rock cliffs that are on the right and left of the river. The rush of water released by the river invites tourists to immediately take off their clothes and throw themselves into the fresh air.

Free to be encouraged to remain careful because the air currents are quite heavy and can endanger the safety of the soul. But tourists can still enjoy the cool air in Kuala Paret by soaking on the banks of the river. The water flowing in the river comes from natural springs so it is very safe to drink, no need for tourists to sip air to restore thirst after a quite exhausting trip.

The name Kuala Paret itself comes from the word kuala which is on rocks and sand around the river. While the paret itself is a ditch or river because if seen this place like a small river or ditch with a large size.

This place is indeed quite unique and rare, the beauty of the rock cliffs that enclose the river is the attraction of Kuala Paret. These rocks are arranged naturally and nicely decorated the banks of the river. Many green trees that must be surrounded, the river also makes the place feel cool, leafy and natural.

There is also a small waterfall that tourists can find. Free to be able to sit at the top while enjoying the beauty of nature that is still fulfilled with the sound of gurgling that is constantly flowing. Not many tourists visit Kuala Paret, because there are still not many who know this exotic river.

Kuala Paret Facility

The beauty of Kuala Paret is in fact inversely proportional to the facilities available to support tourism. There are still very few public facilities such as bathrooms, toilets, prayer rooms or resting places for tourists. Around the location of this river, tourists will also find it difficult to find stalls or shops that sell food and drinks.

Kuala Paret does require improvements and construction of facilities to attract more tourists visiting this place. The road conditions that are fairly difficult to pass, also not yet paved properly become one of the inhibiting factors. There are no signs or directions to make it easier for tourists to find the location of the place of interest
