I remember my uncle and aunt visited so many time Thailand, they preferred to rent a bungalow and enjoy the time for themselves, like cooking, shopping and of course because they were on beach they could enjoy sunrise and sunset. Reading your post it is clear that it is expensive certain time to travel to Thailand and thank you for pointing the best time, I do not like crowd and of course prefer to be there off season, and of course it is good to know when it is rain as it is not nice to have all days long only rain.
