Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is one of the more interesting temples because its pagoda has a relic of Buddha in it. It holds a piece of Buddha's shoulder bone which there is a legend that this relic has magical powers. It's located in the Doi Suthep mountains where all of downtown Chiang Mai can be seen from the temple's viewpoints.

There's a heavy Chinese influence which has lead to amazing statues and great spiritual energy of the temple grounds. There about 350 stairs to the front gate or you can take a cable car to the top.

The temples in Northern Thailand are artistically inclined and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep exhibits that with its amazing statues.

I never get tired of countless hours exploring the details of this wonderful mountain temple. Those in Chiang Mai usually find themselves visiting so next time I'm in Chiang Mai, I hope to see you all there.
