Hello Steemit! My name's Max, I am living in a Russian city on the border

in travel •  8 years ago  (edited)

My city is called Blagoveshchensk, it has borders with China over the Amur river

An interesting fact that the Heihe has a population of 7 times more than my city (1,750,000 vs 224,000)

The crossing of the border is not difficult in that we have a popular shopping tourism

And few pics  how it looks

Border towns are the best.

  • Any bizarre tales of smuggling?
  • Are you a local or a transplant?
  • How'd you end up there?
  • What's one thing that happens in Blagoveshchensk that doesn't happen elsewhere?

About first point: often youth transporting goods across the border in exchange for a ticket and some cash. They are call'd "brick" for some reason :D
I'm local, born and live here all my life :)
And about 4th - so, we have very beauty embankment and many tourists from other border ;)
