My mom is Bavarian - dad met her while stationed in Munich and brought her back to California. This has been a crazy week for flashbacks - visited mom yesterday and she gave me some Leberkäse! Not as good as the fresh stuff from the motherland, but it was still delicious. Just enjoyed some imported bier from München at the local Oktoberfest, again a minimal substitute for the real deal. Basically I'm saying your photo is giving me stark Heimweh!
