Spain has the best beaches in Europe. If you ever visiting the wonderful city of Valencia, do yourself a favour and take the train to Gandia, only about 1 hour away. Ganida is part of the La Safor region and like many of Spanish sea towns it is divided into the beach resort Playa de Gandia, and Gandia Ciudad (City of Gandia) about 2km further inland.

The beaches in Gandia are exceptionally clean and are well taken care of by the local government.

The Mediterranean water is very quite clear on this part of the coast.

So is fishing and there are many restaurants which feature all types of freshly caught sea creatures.

There are plenty of fish to be caught in these clean waters but sometimes it's more enjoyable just to look at them.

Gandia is also quite a romantic place, it has many wide walkways and tiled promenades where life slows down into a relaxing pace.

But there are also many places in the city for those who need to slow down and take a breather.

Although the city has many appeals I liked going back to the marina and the beach
