General

The Palomitos-Park is located on the Island of Gran Canaria in Spain.

(Source: Google)

The park stretches from the entrance in the valley up to a hill, which is the highest point. At the top, there is a plateau with an amphi-theatre. At this place, the Birds of Pray-Show takes place. The sections of the park are connected through beautiful tracks. A waterfall is also available. There is enough shadow in the park, especially near the entrance- and restaurant-area.

Target Customers

All visitors of Gran Canaria, who are interested in nature and animals should visit Palomitos Park. Families and children will have a lot of fun. The whole park-area is compact, so that you can reach all points without problems. The tracks are easy to walk.

You can make your own program of the day in Palomitos. Most shows take place at two different times, so you can't miss anything. (I think the dolphins show is only once?)

Preparation

General Tips

  • Sun-protection is a good idea to have. There are some areas (birds of pray-show), where you are exposed to direct sun light.
  • A bottle of Water per person and something to eat.
  • The opening times and entry prices can be viewed at Palomitospark.es.

Duration

For the visit, you should consider a whole day. The park offers many attractions, which are taking place at fixed times. The program of the day can be viewed in the park.

Travelling to the Park

Before you reach the park, you drive through a longer road. It wriggles through a hilly long canyon. The road is very nice and well built. There is enough room to move around busses. A big parking place is located in front of the park. It is free.

Lunch and Drinks

You can take something to eat and drink with you, if you like. There is a restaurant half way up, in the park. The pricing is as seen on the island. The kitchen is ok. Don't expect too much.

All pictures without source-indication have been taken by myself.
I'm not related to Palomitos and I do not get anything from them for posting this information

Beautiful images you managed to capture and very nice info about the park! Seems like a fun day out for sure. I think I like the owl most followed by the meerkats (as far as the animals go).

Thank you! I really urge everyone, who's on vacation in Gran Canaria, to visit this park. It's one of the best, I've seen.
The owl is a beautiful big bird and weighs about 2.5kg!
I was taking a longer stop at the meerkats. They are wonderful. Thanks for checking back!

Thank you very much for this post! The pictures are awesome!! My wife and I have visited this park three times and really love it, it's a really must go destination (and Gran Canaria of course). Just a little correction, though. It is actually called Palmitos Park, not Palomitos Park ;)

Thank you for sharing this post. It is a really nice park.
We have found other way to discover the island with Climbo. You can contact them if you want to live a unique adventure!
