Let's open some surprising facts about this great country.
Do you like India? Do you know much about it?
To tell you the truth, I LIKE this country, I have never been there (for now but I dream to visit it), but I watched a lot of documentary films and programms about it. The culture of this land is so addicting for me that when I see something about it I try to discover more.
In Russia most people connect India only with some popular facts :
- Kama Sutra
- Bollywood
- wonderful women clothes and dances
- perfect tea
- cow is a saint animal
- overcrowded land
I am sure if you ask Russians about India 95% reply smth fom the list and nothing more.
But nevertheless India is much deeper and much more interesting than it can seem. It has so much to tell us.. maybe it's one of the reasons that I am glad to have a new friend from India here @superstar2018 -)
For now I wanna use my chance and my friend and share some strange things I have discovered about this land and it would be great if @superstar2018 will tell us if it is truth or not.
- Women (wifes) never call their husbands by name. This is disrespect. They say words in translation meaningful "please listen to me."
- If the husband died in the family, then the wife is considered to be guilty.
- Infants are dropped from the 15-meter height in order to grow strong and healthy.
- There is a religious holiday, the purpose of which is to arrange mass piercing of people. This is the way to call God and request for the fulfillment of desires.
- The favourite sport is cricket.
- There are 6 seasons instead of 4.
- Toilet paper in India is not very popular, they often use just water and ... the left hand.
- Instead of a toothbrush, the poor population uses tree twigs.
- More than 50% of the houses do not have sewerage and water supply, poor people use Ganges River for their needs, that's why it is closely resembles a liquid garbage dump than a river. But it is still considered to be saint and important.
- The best compliment to the girl is that her gait is like an elephant!
There are some more facts I will share them next time. Now let's find out what is truth in this part)
I hope for you, my friend)
Part of it is true, but things are changing. :)

Many villages have internet now and with smartphones, education. Age old ideas and way of life are changing. Urban India is way different, and someone like me has not experienced many evils. Then 80% of the country lives in villages!
