Last weekend I went to visit Milano for the first time. Although I have visited Italy a few times, every time I convince myself that it's one of the most wonderful countries in the world. Every corner of it looks beautiful.
Milano is all about people, architecture, food, lifestyle, food again and so on.
The Italian fashion capital is one of the most visited cities in the country for that reason. When someone thinks of Milan, the first associations (except expensive brands and a multitude of fashion-conscious Italians), are the world-famous Milan Cathedral, the typical Italian pizza, Castello Sforzesco, the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery and many other things that will leave you breathless in this beautiful historic city . In this city, only three days are enough to want to come back to the next Italian adventure.
There is often a long waiting line in front of the cathedral, but you can avoid it by going first to the Museum of the Milan cathedral, located 50 meters from the cathedral. The ticket costs 2 β¬ (entrance into the cathedral itself is free). If you still want to wait for a row in front of the cathedral, make sure you do not have any unsuitable things in the bag because the guard will be checked.
After visiting the main attraction in the city, continue to the opera house La Scala, walking through the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery. It is one of the oldest shopping centers in the world, named after the first Italian king. If you'd like to see the gallery's interior, check out the online schedule to avoid the performances taking place there (if you still want to see some of them, then book it in advance).
Follow Giuseppe Verdi's street to the left of La Scala to get to Brera, where there are a handful of great restaurants, antique and 'art shops', nightclubs, and even booths with prophesies of the future. There you will also find the Pinacoteca di Brera, the main gallery of art in the city.
You also have to visit Castello Sforzesco, located near the Cathedral of Milan, and nowadays home to many museums. Entrance to the castle is free, but the entrance to museums isnβt. After completing the tour, head out to the front entrance of the castle and across the street you will find the Sempione Park (the largest in Milan) where you can continue walking in the direction of the celebration of peace, famous sights in Milan.
For those of you who love science, the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology is definitely the right place to visit, especially because it is located near the basilica. It was founded in 1973 and is dedicated to the great Italian genius. The ticket will cost you β¬ 10. Since there is always a queue, we advise you to book your card online.
To continue in the same tone, visit the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, under the protection of UNESCO.
For your last experience in Milan (at least on this trip!) Book dinner on an old tram. Dark green trams from the 1970's are one of the city's symbols, so embark on number one and enjoy the beauty of the city while driving.
An interesting thing is that all the Italian fashion brands have their own restaurants, bars or clubs. You can have coffee in the Gucci caffe, eat dinner in Dolce Gabbana, party in the Cavalli club or spend a night in the Emporio Armani hotel π
Definitivno treba veΔ jednom da odem u Alfin muzej i taj deo sveta. MoΕΎda ovog leta...
