7 Things To Know Before Coming To Guanajuato, Mexico

in travel •  7 years ago

If you're anything like us, you're probably doing tons of research before traveling to a new city. If you're spending the money to take a trip there, you might as well squeeze every last drop out of the experience. What are the best things to do? Is the city safe? What are some of the "must-try" things in that city?

What we've found is that you can't always find these answers all in one place online. And most of the time it's hard to tell whether someone is being paid to promote a certain tour, restaurant, location, etc. That's why we decided to start putting together a little video guide for each place we visit to share some of the tidbits and advice that we would have found useful before coming there.

The 7 Important Details

In this video, we cover these details:

  1. How much does Uber cost in Guanajuato, Mexico?
  2. Will Uber pick me up and drop me off anywhere?
  3. The walkability of Guanajuato.
  4. Driving and parking your car.
  5. How much does food cost in Guanajuato?
  6. A food and drink you must try.
  7. Availability of cheap food in the city.

very nice information provided. it will help the visitors a lot. thanks for sharing

Oh my goodness!. 423/500??? Wait....why am I surprised!. Well done. This is good.

I would definitely love to try out this city. I love the thrills and all you have shown me already in your previous videos. This is amazing.

I think you are right, the city wasn't initially designed for cars, maybe bikes, since they really love bikes around there.

Hahaha...you don't need gym membership, since you gym every single day, due to the shape of the city. Hahaha. Maddie!!!.

It's a place I would love to try out too, and the cheap street food is a bargain.

Well done guys. Countdown to 500 begins haha

Most of the city was constructed well before cars or bikes existed so the roads are quite small.

We were joking that someone should start a gym here with only upper-body workout machines because you get enough of a lower-body workout just by walking around!

500 coming soon! It was our initial goal to get to 250 YouTube subs by April 25th, so we're more than thrilled with the progress. Lately, we've been disappointed if we don't get 20 new subs in a single day.

Totally understand hahaha and wait till you start having on your YouTube channel, hundreds of subscribers daily. You will get used to that soon, too.

Woo-hoo @tangerinetravels the 7 things were quite interesting... I particularly was thrown away with the no parking fact. Yet cars and Uber still drive around the city. Thanks for another wonderful experience.
@dee-y over and out.

The city was built long before cars were around, so they didn't leave any space for people to park their non-existent cars ;)

Thanks for going all-out in sharing your Guanajuato experiences and including really helpful tips, @tangerinetravels! 😊Looking forward to your next Mexico adventure!

We really appreciate that you always watch and comment on our videos :) Thanks @everydayart!

Que rica comida.

Las enchiladas mineras son buenas!

Interesting post

For the lady, are u not making the uphill walking much harder with those type of shoes?

I could definitely make my life easier by wearing better shoes, you are very right! ;)

Such as interesting place..but I'am still afraid of gangsters..hehehe..thank bro

Haha, I think that once you spent some time here, you're fear on gangsters would mostly disappear.

VERY GOOD AND IMPORTANT ORIENTATION AT THE TIME OF VISIT. GREETINGS.

Interesante vista de la ciudad como turista... Pero bueno, es asombroso como este pueblo se conoce en todo el mundo. Algunas cosas están bien pendejas, como cuando dicen que está para andar en bici "¡si cómo no!"

one of the country i would like to travel, thanks for the post

There's so much to see in Mexico. It's a huge country with so much geographical diversity. We've been in rainforests, deserts, pine forests, jungles, and on beaches. So much going on here!

Great post! =)
