The Haida Indians adopted our family into their family because my father did a 10 -year research project that linked a totem pole that stood in our neighborhood in Indiana about 100 years ago. It was a pole brought from Alaska for the World's Fair in St. Louis at the turn of the century. My dad's book is called Home Before the Raven Calls. You might be interested in that. Been to Alaska a couple times. Beautiful art. I will try to get my dad on this site, it would be very interesting for him to tell the story of this great project.
