When we went to Magalawa Resort in Zambales, Philippines, the owner offered us a unique kind of crab. They call it "Onse."
Onse is a Spanish term for eleven. This crab has eleven red dots, thus named as onse.
It is meaty but not as tasty as the other crabs. Its unique look makes it interesting, more so with the number of dots.I just wonder why eleven.
Do you know what's the scientific reason for the number of dots? Do you have this kind of crabs in your country? Share your story and if you also have unique food experience during your travels.
