Domestic Flight GoPro Timelapse. Flying out of Bangkok. (video)

in travel •  7 years ago

When flying, I always ask for a window seat. Flights, however long are usually pretty boring, but as long as you have a window seat and a clear sky things are much better.

I took a domestic flight a few months ago and decided to film the trip. Applying a timelapse setting, the whole trip is squeezed into a short 2:35mins. As you might be able to tell, I flew with air asia out of Don Mueang International Airport, Bangkok.

There is really not much editing in this video since GoPro has its own timelapse settings.

My main concern during the whole flight was trying to keep the camera completely steady. It was mounted on a tripod for the entire time and taped onto the armrest during flight. The flight crew were fine about filming since I was out of the way and din't need to hold it myself.

@jabez518 Everybody wants to fly.

As long as you aren't cramped in the middle, a good view is always relaxing.

nice post @thinkit

Thank you :)

Did you stick the camera to something?

Yeah, mounted to a tripod and taped to the armrest while in flight- no movement at all.

Good thinking Batman!

Haha, I should've read the rest of your article, I was too interested in the video, no attention to detail!
