Trips and Tips: Rome and its secret spots

In this Roman tour I intend to introduce you to some of my favourite spots in Rome including tips on food, coffee, dessert and sightseeing

Italians are known for their amazing espressos and cappuccinos, but if you think about it, they don’t produce coffee beans! Amazing? Italians are very good at marketing: I honestly think we, in Greece, should hire an Italian Prime Minister.

I mean think about it: they have excellent marketing on fashion, eating, drinking, driving and so much more! They are really ahead of many countries. What’s more, when you visit Italy, most of the people don’t speak to you in English. They speak to you in Italian and you can communicate really well!

What’s most important, they have managed through the ages to preserve many antiquities and create value from them. Their cities are like museums: think of Rome, Florence, Pisa, Venice, to name a few. The same stands with their rivers: walking by Tiber for example is a real pleasure.

Dining: Taverna Trilussa:

This restaurant in Trastevere can be combined with a nice walk in its picturesque streets full of life and people. The restaurant itself is really advanced in terms of Italian cuisine combining amazing wines:

St Eustachio il caffe:

The best coffee in Rome. In this place you can also find various products made of coffee such as liquor and chocolates. I love this place:

Piazza Campo de' Fiori:

Very nice open market to shop food, clothes and eat something on the spot

Perfumery: Profumum di Roma (Can be found in Via di Ripetta 248)

Amazing perfumes, a bit expensive though:

Gelato di San Crispino

My favourite place to eat ice cream, is located near Fontana di Trevi

Overall Rome is a city educated to accommodate tourists of all kinds and you may fulfil any request you might have!
