Why traveling in Japan is not as expensive as you may think.
Many people say that traveling to Japan is the most expensive in the world, but if you look carefully, you will find that is not true.
The statistics indicate that Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world, followed by Osaka> But the survey also includes household expenses, utilities, housework, or clothing. For short-term tourists, this is not necessary.
1. Sleeping
Accommodation is considered as the most important issue in the trip. But if you choose a dorm, it costs about $20 per bed per night or up to $30 in major cities. This is the price equivalent to most European cities.
Of course if you want to be in a nicer place, the price will be around 100-200USD a night. However, with the money you spend and the quality of life you get, Japan is much cheaper than in other parts of the world.
2. Eating
If you need a simple lunch, you can go to the convenience store. You totally can be assured of the quality of food. It's always full of nutrients, unlike convenience stores in other countries.
A box of bento rice (including rice, meat, fish, vegetables, soup), the price is only about $4. The price is equivalent to a sushi tray
3. Traveling
Travelers should buy Japan Rail Pass (JR), which is only for tourists. It has 3 levels of the shelf life of 7, 14, 21 days and costs $260 USD or more. It's not only use for high-speed trains but also use for ferries, buses, or other transportation that have the JR symbol. JR cards can help you save thousands of dollars in travel expenses. For example, going from Tokyo to Osaka is $140 each way or Osaka to Hiroshima is about $ 100 one way.
Enjoy your trip!

I am currently begging all the gods to supply me with a large hotel room that has heavy walls for good sound-proofing. I am a very light sleeper and can't see how I would otherwise be able to get my rest in such a noisy and crowded place. However, I shall continue to beg the universe for some windfall that would allow me to travel there in a way that would allow for physical comfort on the plane and good relaxation in the hotel room.
