I visited Snow Canyon State Park 2 times when I stayed in Utah.

This is a state park of Utah, USA, featuring a canyon carved from the red and white Navajo sandstone in the Red Mountains

Unfortunately did not have the time to actually get out and hike but the views from driving through left me wanting more. The colors are outstanding and I will definitely be returning to experience the park to its fullest

So, I visited here one more time and it was stunning. And hiking that I took was not difficult. I did the hike where you could see the volcano eruption. Also did a few other hikes in different areas of the park. All different rock formations. Great little visitors center with information on the geology of the park.

Good things is that entrance fee is only $6. Per car admission. The hikes were beautiful, especially Pinyon Trail and the Petrified Bluffs. I practically had the trail to myself, rarely seeing other hikers, which was nice. My best part is hiking one of the lava tubes. That was so cool! You can climb down into the lava tubes. You'll need a flashlight if you choose to go in far beyond the entrance. I only had my cell phone flashlights which don't shine very far so I didn't venture too far into the darkness.

Unlike Zion where there are bus loads of people everywhere, this park is quiet and the views are just as amazing . My best advice is to jump on your road bike first thing in the morning and ride to the top before cars start to infuse the area for the day
Really, just beautiful. Also, It's a short drive from St. George and very accessible.

Even though I didn't try because of my limited time, I heard that park is open all year round and contains 35 campsites for tents and RVs below 35 feet, which is so fun. If I'd knew that there are campsites I would've tried it. I believe this is a must do in St. George.

Please share your experience in Snow Canyon!! I really appreciate :-)
