One of my cheapest travels

Macau

When I visited Hongkong, I made sure to go stop by in Macau too. All we needed was a turbo boat ride that did not take too long. We expected it to be a lot like Hongkong, but no. It was different. People say Macau's one luxurious country but believe me if you know the little tricks you can get a picturesque kind of vacation and spend just a little money.

The land is old but you cannot deny the grandeur of the scenery.

Even though the weather's a bit gloomy when we visited, time after time the sun would show up and soak the old buildings and splendid casino hotels some warm lighting. It was the kind of weather that is perfect for street walks and photography.

If you're planning to go here, make sure you've got the right shoes because there's a lot of walking and roaming around. Also, here's a bunch of "freebies" you can get when you are touring the place:

1. You can go around the city for free.

At the port, some people would offer you a day tour around the city for this sum of money (don't buy it!). They would just lead you to the free bus rides offered by the casinos and hotels and tell you some things about the city. The city's small and you can go roaming alone or with friends.

2. Charging of gadgets and internet connection

The bus rides also offer free wi-fi and not only that, if you look closely on the sides of the bus seats, there are ports you can use for charging.

3. You'd never go hungry.

Macau's famous for its beef jerky. Going to Ruins of St. Paul, along the lane, vendors would offer you a free taste of their best-selling beef jerky. How I wish the egg tarts are free too but it's not haha (it's cheap though, you can buy 1 for 10HKD).

How fancy are the hotels and casinos?

They've got chandeliers and statues as posts!

The city mirrored Paris.

The miniature of the Eiffel tower, artists, musicians and the lovely gondola ride in the Venetian Hotel pictured me the little Paris!

I really did enjoy my time there. However, some of the locals are not that fluent in English so it was a bit hard. If you're lost, you can always ask the hotel/casino staff or crews, they're great in giving directions.

The place was lovely, went there for a day, and I hope to go back there and have a good walk around the city again.

@travelingmercies wow! Would love to go back to Macau again!😁

Next year! @wandersells

I love Macau, it's an interesting blend of Portuguese and Chinese culture, did you try the famous pork sandwiches?

Yes! It's where east meets west @travelstheworld, sadly I did not. I'l look for it when I have the chance to go back there.

wow. nice travel. how did you go there with the cheapest spending?

Hi @juzmen-juvy18, from Hongkong we ride the turbo boat for (1700php, one-way).

ahh I see. thank for info my dear :)

I hope i can travel there also

hi #travelingmercies :) I hope to visit Macau, too. Really? it's not expensive to roam around there... wow. Resteemed

It's not! :) The free shuttles can take you to the different hotels/casinos, the stores are pretty generous on the free taste food they're selling ;) You will just have to worry with your lunch/dinner which you can have on the food stores along the streets (and it's not that costly too!). Do visit, the place's really lovely.

Oh. free shuttles? Awesome! Free taste? haha. Amazing.

I like to see your travel story post & thanks to share this content.
