The Big Picture

LA is home to thousands of murals. Due to the sheer size of the city, it's the perfect place to house these artistic giants. We were staying in the downtown core so we came across quite a few, and this one was definitely one of my favourites...



What: Our Lady of Downtown Los Angeles, Robert Vargas (2013)
Where: 600 S. Spring St, Los Angeles
Meaning: She's meant to be rising from the ground welcoming those within the neighbourhood

Yes, as an Angeleno I agree and appreciate what you're saying. If you're visiting there is an interesting art show called "Beyond the Streets," in downtown. I actually help build a replica of vintage Venice Beach architecture that birthed some of today's renowned street artists.
