Adventure in a Mysterious Place - Guacharo Cave

in travel •  7 years ago

Greetings steemians, I will comment on a very famous tourist site in my country Venezuela, the Cave of Guacharo.

It is located between Monagas state and Sucre, between a rocky formation formed by the union of several hills: Cerro Negro, Cerro Papelón and Cerro del Macizo de Caripe, all belonging to a mountainous system called Caripe.

Due to the own ecosystem that has this wonderful work of the nature, was declared National Park the Guacharo 27 of May of 1975. It was first visited by the famous explorer and naturalist Alexander Von Humbolt, who on September 18, 1799 discovered the mysterious and beautiful work of natural art. In its interior are found stones that thanks to the tests of determination of time, were determined that they date of the mesozoic era, that is to say 130 million years ago. Due to its great extension, in its interior we will be able to appreciate several galleries or lounges, as if of a whole city it was, among them the most famous are Hall of the Giants, the Hall of the Silence, Hall of Alén among others.

Great video games have had inspiration in these caves, of mysticisms and mythological brushstrokes, proof of it they are in famous games like Skyrim or Dark Souls. They are also a global tourist reference point for anyone wishing to have an adventure of any Indiana Jones movie.

Source: Real visit to one of its halls ...

It has even been speculated that within one of its large rooms, specifically the Karen- Fanny, is so large that a spacecraft could get to and from it, similar to what we saw at the end of the movie Predator 2 ...

Its fauna is of the most spectacular and varied, being the Guácharo, the bird insignia that inhabits in its halls. The Guacharo is a bird of nocturnal habits, does not like the sun very much, so he looks for his food when it is hiding or before it is seen in the sky.

I hope you have liked them, leave your comment,
