Day #7

DSCF1372.JPG

We woke up in this beautiful location (sorry, I didn't take new pictures that day) at 7 a.m, and I had hardly slept because it was so cold. We ate breakfast on the pier and were done with packing our bags soon after that. So we left at 8:45 and walked into Ängelholm to go shopping. I bought the usual: rolls, cheese, an apple, and tons of cinnamon rolls. We took a rather early train at 10:15 and then waited for a bus in Varberg.

It had been a while since being in civilization, and the clock hanging over the bus station confused me a lot. According to what I saw, it was around 4 p.m, which didn’t make any sense, so I tried to read it the other way. It still made no sense whatsoever, so I decided that I was not made for a normal life and should just stay out in the wilderness for the rest of my life.

I think the clock had just stopped at 4 p.m. It was broken but it did took me quite some time to figure that out..

On the way to Göteborg, I fell asleep a few times, almost falling onto the guy next to me. Outside, we looked at a map and tried to pronounce the street names (impossible) and then walked to our hostel. Each of us had blisters on their toes.

At the hostel a crowd was standing in front of the key boxes. They just couldn’t figure it out. After my first try (kidding, my second try), our key box popped open. Genious. They applauded. I’m actually serious, they did! I had just followed the instructions provided to me, but you know.. Maybe I’m just really smart, lol.

The first thing I did was take a hot shower.

And then we needed pizza. Because, obviously, that was the only thing that kept us motivated throughout the trip. Especially on those hard days at the end, where our feet were already dead.

And so we went and got pizza.

Backpacking through Sweden sounds like it would be an awesome adventure! I love backpacking. I know exactly what you mean about the pizza, I'm always craving pizza after a backpacking trip out in the wilderness.

Haha that's funny. I guess you just feel like you really deserve pizza after a trip like that

Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!

Thanks for reading!

Backpacking through Sweden sounds awesome! And I'm with you regarding time and clocks! I taught high school for years, and was always on such a schedule, that on the first day of summer, I removed my watch and didn't put it back on until the first day of school in September :)

Of course you want pizza and that you're really smart :)

Haha 👍🏼
