The Tor

I always have to visit the tor when I go to Glastonbury. It has a powerful energy and is steeped in legend and mystery. It’s owned by the National trust but is free to enter and open all day. The tor is the only remaining part of the 14th-century church of St Michael.

It's said that beneath the hill there's a hidden cave through which you can pass into the fairy realm of Annwn.

Glastonbury itself has a long tradition of being ‘The Isle of Avalon’ where King Arthur went after his last battle. The monks of Glastonbury Abbey claimed to have found his grave in 1191. Jesus also supposedly visited Glastonbury as a boy, visiting with Joseph.
Some even say the holy grail lies here.
