Motorcycle travel series by @velimir 'Bakar 2' (Part #128)

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

After that delicious calamari, I take a walk around the little coastal town. The tradition definitely has its say here. The walk makes me think of how things progress. Well, in some places quicker than in the other. Take a look at this contrast. The old statue is looking at the highway bridge up there. The construction pretty obviously creates an odd feeling.

This is "Jaz", a point where fresh water is collected from many rich sources that flow from the mountains and join at this spot to enter the sea. The natural phenomena have already been mentioned centuries ago. The water is cold and pure and Jaz never dries out. In the 20th century, trouts were put in there to breed and they live here since.

This is the very spot where fresh water enters the sea. In the old days women used to wash clothes here. "Perilo" is the name.

The other side.

And the very spot where fresh water mixes with sea water.

Enjoy your day! :)

wonderful sharing dear @velimir photography is amazing. when women wash clothes in the water where do the trouts go. Dont they get disturbance?

Well, the washing there stopped when washing machines came into existence. So, trouts are not disturbed at all. :D

You are a naturalist and a damn good photo interpreter. Your pictures speaks a lot of silent words, and also, you always keep your post fresh and original. Kudos to you, velimir!
