Motorcycle travel series by @velimir 'Sisak 18' (Part #54)

It is still raining outside. I can hear raindrops hitting the roof above me. I'm trapped here in the fortress until the rain stops. My bike is outside, parked under the trees. I'm standing in front of the big profile map with the battle going on it. An interesting thought crosses my mind...

While these guys fought over the river crossings and plains of Croatia...

...fought against other nations also interested in land and money and power...

...led by their war commanders, under noble lords, revered bishops and untouchable kings...

...engaging in deadly skirmishes with foreign cultures who came to invade...

...the ones who really suffered were the people living in these little huts.

Just like today.

They say history is the mother of wisdom, one needs to know it so it doesn't repeat itself. Guess human race learns at a quite a remarkably slow pace.

Or does the sickening need for power beat all the wisdom in the end?

Most recent post: It is official, WE are witnesses!

Very good post

in all, those war from the past and present, those on the small hut or living in ruin that, suffers a lot. not those nobles or current powered politician who declares war it self.
sad

yep, my friend. this is how things are. still in our days.

Sometimes I think we're being reborn again and again to inflict these pains on each other. You made me think at 7 am. I have insomnia and rarely sleep. Please keep going. I look forward to your posting.

Sorry to hear about your insomnia. Hypnotherapist can help with that. You might be right with reincarnation. We will not know for sure before we die, right? :)

Thanks! I've used meditation and hypnosis before but stopped due to other stress in my life. Hard to find time. Really wonder what comes next. But don't want to know just yet. Maybe 50 years from now?
