Motorcycle travel series by @velimir 'Through forests 2' (Part #111)

The road takes me west. The sun is still high and the area covered in forests is a real blessing. I ride feeling very relaxed and enjoying the low revs of my VN900. Here and there a car passes by reminding me that I am not alone on the road. Very low traffic. I remember a lyric from that old song from U2: "...highway with no one on it..." Well, this is luckily no highway :) This is one of a few straight patches of road.

First stop of the day. I am attracted by the heap of trunks. A very fresh heap, still smelling of cut wood. This is quite expected here but for me, coming from the city, it is unusual.

Croatia, unfortunately, exports most of its wood. Instead of making and selling high-quality furniture, woods are cut for little profit on the superb raw material. Quite stupid if you ask me.
Yeah, I ride in untied Dr Martens. They are very comfortable that way and feet don't heat up. I don't mind the effort to climb up. :)

Climbing on top of this stack of wood trunks gives me an opportunity to take this pic. Boy, do I live dangerously. :D

And another one from the other side. Today is the bike & wood photo session day, obviously. :D
