'Travelling Library'

crta.png

This big blue bus looks just like any other bus but only on the outside. It is not an ordinary bus. It is a book-bus, full of books, a travelling library. :) The idea of bringing books closer to the people is a welcomed one. Not sure it generally works because reading is in a huge downfall since the Internet took all of the people's attention and most of the free time. Still, the old-fashioned way of holding the book and turning pages cannot be matched by any screen in existence.

Let's see what is inside! A full library setup. 'One can rent a book here and then return it to any of the city's libraries,' says the kind lady working here. She also confirms my thoughts on decreasing numbers of active book readers. Pity, but this is the time we're living in.

Before the Internet, all the knowledge, one could find and learn without a teacher, was in books. Reading from books about all sorts of things was a primary way of learning for long centuries. It was quite a task to find the right ones. Today, everything is found much faster. This looks like a cart with children's books. Nice touch!

This young gentleman, accompanied by his mother, has just arrived for the new load of reading fun. Really nice to see the interest. Maybe he's got limited time for wasting on computer games? :D

Be as it may, the books will always have a special way of taking us into the past, teaching us things we've never heard of and, whatever new comes along, they will always stay the most romantic way of spending a rainy afternoon with a cup of tea by the fireplace. Never tried that? Please do! :)

Enjoy your day! :)

The library comes from the biblical basics. Books that mean books, as well as other themed themes such as libraries, librarians, librarians, libraries and library science. Then the term is different from the meaning of the keyword.

The literature has been known to humans since the year 5000 BC. The materials are stored, processed, and disseminated through a special-shaped order for that purpose, called libraries.

And in its development there are also other similar activities, even overlapping with libraries, and others. The library also means, part of a building or building used to store books and other publications. The bibliographic materials are kept in a special order for the benefit of the reader, not for sale and the purpose of making a profit. So it is clear that the library is different from the bookstore.

In library books that are memforasikan for the purpose of the reader, the main purpose of the library to make a profit. In the book, the book dinzer is arranged for sale in order to make a profit. While mobile libraries are public libraries that serve communities that are not covered by public library services, with public centers, which are an extension and extension of regional library services or public libraries of Level II.

Meanwhile, the people of in addition to spread across various islands, in various areas of residence to take advantage of guest services residential centers of society. Can access it directly by the community.

In wandering library books Reasonable use of transportation services, management services and channeling services. Where these components are interconnected as a service system. The library does not get out with the books always throw away with learning activities. And books should be distributed to study centers. To live the importance of mobile library.

Kakav kul autobus! Predobra ideja! :)

I think the idea of library buses should become widespread. Books give pleasure you can't find on the internet!
Very nice pictures :)

Books are the greatest friends and they have been with us from the beginning. We should keep reading and this way we will learn new things.

Libraries are fascinating places. Sometimes we feel, we are under the canopy of a railway station, and when we read books about exotic places there's a feeling of traveling to distant lands

And one can live vicariously through all sorts of adventures. What amazing cachés of information

Two time same reply...lol.

Hah don't know how that happened. Thanks man

What a cool idea!. I remember about 30 years ago in the LA area there was a fear that literacy rates were falling in Los Angeles County. As a result, I do recall a period were there were also a few 'buses on wheeles' that could be found in some minority areas. I have'nt been back to the US in almost seven-and-a-half years but I believe with the advent of computers and the internet, the project stopped.

This takes me back to when I was a kid. OUr public library was not very close and it wasn't very often that we got to go there. In our city, we had a "Book" mobile. It was essentially a big bus just like this full of books. You could use your library card to take out books and then you could return them to the bookmobile when they came back. They would come once every two weeks. It somehow made getting books from the library just a little more fun. Thanks for the little trip down memory lane.

Libraries! I missed reading books in libraries during afternoon. That photo took be back to college for a moment @velimir. Nice job!

A meaningful journey, An Honor for me can follow your journey @velimin
The window of the world that surrounds us, but a belief that leads us to open a window of ignorance Negative thinking Bringing people unaware that the power of life is in our hands, I am very happy to read all the posts you show this.
A window of the heart's eye is open to all who want to change the world, the power of science only on the books that have been written by scientists who have been tested with the concept, a real life only to people who want to reach this world.
We realize, perhaps in the year 1808 is still very far from Tehnologi but as the development of the world that continues to be a Reform of change leads us to realize the meaning of science,
A world full of technology that can be accomplished all the useful things is very easy to get by using the internet today.

Thanks @velimin for what has opened my eyes to keep searching, learning and reading for the sake of ease of life in the future.

See you on the top

Hello @vledimir, I love your photos, your experiences and your wonderful smile;)

You who know so much about motorcycles and the adrenaline that this generates, do you know by reason the cause of the biological reactions that some women feel for motorcycles? In my particular they fascinate me, they give me freedom and fullness that is not achieved very often ... Greetings

Great Traveling to library is fun.

Such a great idea 💡. I think that reading books makes prople musch smarter and more interesting. This initiative really educates prople. Nice to see young child interested in a new portion of knowledge.

Will try to read a book near a fireplace when I get a chance. Thank you Velimir for the tip.

I did not know that there are such "mobile libraries". At least here where I live I do not. I think that this is a great idea when you can come to such a "mobile" library and take the book for rent. Graduate knowledge will always be valuable. But there is another factor ...

I'm sad to realize that people have become less likely to read books. No reading has become more popular but it's reading in the screens of monitors (computers, smartphones). Books become less popular and they are replaced by fashionable ways of obtaining information. I fully agree that in our time the information has become public. Many people can find out any information even without leaving home. This is a great achievement of mankind. But along with this people are "saturated" with information. If earlier we tried to become smarter due to books, now people have become lazy. It is a fact. You know that in your hands all the information that is available to humanity and you spend time watching useless videos or reading gossip.

In this sense, the books were more interesting. You took the book and wanted to read it. Now you download the book from the Internet but do not read it. (this does not work with everyone). I remember those days when I took a book in the library. I was sitting by the lamp in the evening and reading a book. It was really interesting. I was not distracted by messages on social networks and other information. It was a great time.

Change is inevitable. You need to be able to find positive in any situation. You teach us this.
I liked the photos and your text. Thank you

Motorcycle drive at fine hobby

Great pictures and lovely concept. We used to have the Bookmobiles going around in the States. I miss them. Unfortunately, there’s grown an unaccountable antipathy toward education that is seen libraries, schools, and educational television/radio stations (PBS & NPR) lose more and more funding all the time.

But, the corporations and the über wealthy got massive tax cuts. So… they’re good, then.

Be as it may, the books will always have a special way of taking us into the past, teaching us things we've never heard of and, whatever new comes along, they will always stay the most romantic way of spending a rainy afternoon with a cup of tea by the fireplace. Never tried that? Please do! :)

I agree so much to this, though its really been a while i read an hardcopy book but i will get back to it again

This is awesome. What a great way to spread information and attract people to knowledge. And the motorcycle travel is amazing. My cousin traveled across Mongolia with on a motorcycle and is gearing up to go to Romania. He says they have some of the best roads?

When I was a youngster the 'BookMobile' came to our little town once per month from the state Library. It was there I found that you could get almost any title currently in print by mail. It was heavenly.

I have three bookcases full to overflowing, and a couple of overflow boxes. I love them. But the truth is, they are mostly research grade stuff. My real reading is done on my Kindle. I can carry several thousand titles with me to read by the fire when I am camping with my motorcycle. I know they don't smell the same, and they don't feel the same, but the words are all there.

Thanks for a wonderful look inside a vanishing wonder!
