Motorcycle travel series by @velimir 'Zagorje' (Part #166)

Close to the horse, there is a door in the north-east part of the mansion. A large dark door, definitely sparking my curiosity. It is an entrance to the stables, maybe? Let's find out what is behind them!

The stairs are wooden but they don't creak when walking on them. They are made of solid wood and installed on a hard base. The atmosphere changes as I walk downstairs...

A surprise! A row of wide stairs took me to the wine cellar. The light is not strong but rather subdued. Surprisingly there is no stench. The place is dry and quite pleasant. This place bears testament to the times when people's evening schedule was unthinkable without a pint and a good laugh.

Huge oak barrels, taller than me, once upon a time filled with local wine now stand as a silent witness of the times long gone. The large cellar is filled with exhibits but free of people. The silence speaks for itself.

Check out the Croatian historical coat of arms engraved on that barrel! My mind is working hard to remember some history lessons from the 18th...

I think these are the winemaking accessories. They look interesting.

I'm wondering how this place looked in its prime time. Imagine an 18th-century wine hall. Emotions all over the place, loud uncontrolled laughter, a clinking of glasses, a few guys in the corner twitching some strings. Probably not many table manners to go around, if at all. Does that differ from most of the pubs today? Was then also so much superficial talk and self-conscious giggles? :D

Enjoy your day! :-)

You have a deeper understanding of the places you visit than any other traveler I know. Good writing!

Thank you for your kind comment, this is very flattering, indeed :)

very good in my opinion news and story you share because kind like that does not exist in my country. and photos are so unique that made from very dense wood and this is very rare we find even no longer in some countries. and it's great that you advise steemit members how to get ahead in steemit by writing the texts and pictures we took for ourselves and this is very good in my opinion. and you also link to our access to great people in this steemit and you are also promoting people who always support you, it is amazing. and I'll see it all, and I'll wait for your next post

Thank you, my friend. We are all trying to do our best. Nice to read your comment! :)

Great post! What camera are you using to capture these pictures? I've been traveling the world creating podcast content on different city's startup scenes. I'm trying to incorporate more visual content on my platform. I like the nostalgic feel of these.

hey, welcome :) Very interesting theme you have about start-ups. Wish you success! I use different cameras but the main work is done later on in Photoshop.

reminds me of a beer museum in my town. Actually it's a bavarian restaurant but they have those ancient beer barrels and brewery machines on display :)

hehe must be interesting to visit that place, too!
