Motorcycle travel series by @velimir 'Zagorje' (Part #168)

As I'm about to this empty wine cellar, I stumble upon an old wine press. 'Old' might not properly describe its age. More like ancient. :-D They used a bunch of stones as a counterweight. A simple solution, without much fuss...eh? Wish I could see it working.

A detail of the counterweight made from a pile of rough stones.

The cellar's floor was made from little, very hard cubes of wood. It is interesting how they made it. A bit strange why did they use wood instead of cobblestones. Could be something to do with heat insulation but then would the cellar have a proper temperature?

As I leave the cellar, I 'm left with a thought about these taller-than-human size old barrels? What have they seen in all those years, or better yet, what have they not seen?

An interesting sight on my way upstairs. An old fire brigade car is parked right there. I wonder if they had one in the mansion back in the day or was it brought here as an exhibit? Ah, wait! Maybe it was brought here to help with the hangovers and headaches in the mornings? :D

Enjoy your day!
