Hi guys!! How are you? I would like to share with you some of the pictures I took in Japan, my first time in the beautiful Japan. 😍 😍 😍 😍

I stayed there for two weeks. One week in Kyoto and around and one week in Tokyo and around.
I took my flight from London Heathrow at about 10.00 pm and, after 10 hours, a stop in Beijing and other three hours me, my boyfriend, his brother and his girlfriend arrived at Haneda airport.
It was a bit difficult to understand the train we had to take to get to the hotel for the first time because of course everything was in Japanese and we had not access to the internet yet.

For this reason we tried taking the first train we thought was right and... we were wrong :')
We did not have much time because it was almost midnight and the trains would stop running after a while.
Fortunately some guys helped us out and we finally reached our hotel.
We stayed there only one night because the day after we had to take the train (super fast train) to Kyoto. It took only two hours and forty to get to Kyoto!

The first day we were really tired because of the jet leg. I had dizziness because of the many hours of flight every time I was in small and closed places. 😞 😞

As you know (and if you don't know I am here to tell you :D ) I have a geisha tattoo on my shoulder. This represents one of my favourite books that is called "Memoirs of a geisha".
I read a lot of times the story of this little girl who lived in Gion and, for me, to have the possibility to finally be in that place after having imagined it many times it was exciting. πŸ’“ πŸ’“ πŸ’“

This place is really cute and full of small typical restaurants. I have never seen in my life those kind of restaurants. They are really small and it seemed they were closed but they were actually open. The entrance was quite hidden and trying to enter seemed like getting to someone's home.

When we went into a souvenir shop, we had to take off our shoes. As you might know in Japan, when you get in someone's home or in some restaurants and places (especially in temples) you have to take off your shoes.
This is something that I really like because, if you ever come to my house one day, I pretend that people take off their shoes before they get in 😌 😌

For one week we stayed in a very typical house. We slept on the futons that were placed above the tatami. For us it was like sleeping on the floor. We woke up with back pain for the first few days πŸ™ƒ πŸ™ƒ

The day after visiting Gion we went in a beautiful place that was only 18 minutes walk from our home to see the Toji Temple.... wow it was fantastic! ❀ ❀

See you later 😘 😘 😘

Beautiful, I visited Kyoto myself earlier this year and loved it. If Fushimi Inari Shrine on your schedule? If not I would def take a quick look. The entrance arguably felt the most touristy of any of the shrines I visited, but the father back you walked through the gates it got much more natural and less crowded. Making it to the top of the mountain can be very rewarding :)
