Belo Horizonte - the capital of state of Pão de Queijo and last moments on ILHA GRANDE

I stayed 2 days more on Ilha Grande. On the beach where I was camping I also met one Polish girl which was amazing coz you get to meet Polish people everywhere you go.

Praca da Liberdade, Belo Horizonte

On the last day I went back to Vila do Abraão to spend my last night there because a ferry back to the mainland was early in the morning. There was no light on the island the last day.

I went back and I took a ride with the same people that I came there with. They were going to Belo Horizonte - the capital of Minas Gerais state. One of the states that has no access to the ocean but it's well-known for its waterfalls, delicious food, pretty colonial town and beautiful people.

There are a lot of places to visit in that state but as I was already running out of money I decided just to stay few days in the capital, where I have a lot of friends, and friends of friends that wanted to meet me. It was amazing that even though it was my first time there, I had so much people to visit there and it's all because in Cabo Frio there are a lot of mineiros (natives from Minas Gerais).

Lagoa da Pampulha, Belo Horizonte

So for a few days I was just enjoying the city life. The bars there seem pretty much like bars during the summer in Cracow which made me feel home. I also did a pole dance class with one friend, and it was such an amazing experience!

The city is full of various hills and after living few months in Rio state I am pretty much used to the fact that hill means favela. So first day in Belo Horizonte I was thinking all the time - where the hell I came... It seemed just full of dangerous places. But in fact it's just how this city looks like - of course it's not really safe, as all Brazilians big cities but only there I found out that a hill doesn't have to mean favela.
