Last days in COSTA DAURADA - with WAVES, palms and SUN

Last weekend in Spain I spent in Barcelona. Not really original, I know! This time I decided to stay in the hostel, Ole Barcelona, which I can recommend to everyone! I had some problems with my reservation, but people working there turned out to be really nice and they managed to solve it. Hostel and rooms were really clean and quite big (I mean like for a hostel) and there was a bathroom on each floor so no problems with a queue in the morning. They also had a kitchen and they’re located just like 30 seconds from Sagrada Familia, which makes it all perfect.

Roda de Bara, Spain

Of course I went to the beach and then in the evening I went to couchsurfing meeting in the pub which was so fun! After the pub we went in small group to the club, and afterwards to the beach, to have a wine and chill out a bit. However, we ended up swimming in the sea, which was so fun! Meanwhile we were in the water, someone stole our wine… Someone must have been thirsty, because just next to the alcohol there were our bags with all documents, phones, money and other stuff… To be honest, we were just super lucky and it was so irresponsible to leave it alone there.

Port Vell, Barcelona

I came back to the hostel at 6 am so I just took a shower, slept for 3 hours and then had to get up and check out from the hostel. When I was having breakfast in the kitchen, the receptionist guy was complaining about his hangover, but he stopped when I said that I was actually probably still drunk ;D

Tombola

That weekend I didn’t have to come back to Solsona. Kids stayed in Sant Esteve Sesrovires from Friday till Monday because of the Festa Major – local festivity. So when I came back there on Sunday, children were still going out to do million activities related to this event, but I was so tired after all night that I just stayed home. But we still went to Tombola, which is always their „must do”. It’s kind of lottery where you always win, but prizes differ a lot - it can be even a simple pen but might be a TV.

Calafell, Spain

On Monday, 1st of August, I started real holidays! The grandparents rented an apartment in Calafell in Costa Daurada and I went there with my host family. Calafell is small town, perfect for holidays, with beautiful beaches and a lot of pubs and restaurants. The apartment was just by the beach! It was so amazing, coz I even had problems with falling asleep because the sound of the sea was too loud haha! I also saw there some surfing schools, more paddle surf but I wanted to check and maybe rent a board, but the waves were really small so it didn’t make much sense.

On Tuesday we went for a little trip to the nearby town, called Roda de Bara. It felt really Spanish, because there were many typical Andalusian patios. And also we went to the ice cream place which turned out to be the runner-up in the best ice creams in the world. They tasted well, but I actually had better ones in my life :)

Calafell, Spain

On Wednesday, 3rd of August, I came back to Poland. But I wasn’t feeling really down because of that – I already knew that in 2 weeks I would be going for another trip… Much more exciting one!
