Hope you've had a good week. Today I will be taking you to the Queen Victoria Building (QVB) in Sydney, Australia. QVB is a late 19th century building which was completed in the year 1898. It took 5 years to build this building and it was built in commemoration of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee (60th year serving as Queen).

QVB is situated in Sydney's CBD which is convenient to travel to by public transport. QVB was originally built as a market place and is now a shopping mall serving many well-known brands. It consists of four shopping floors. QVB is not only famous for it's shopping but the history it holds and the architecture design and details of the building.

This is the front of the building. You can see how it holds it's Victorian design. The building is continuously being maintained as it is a heritage building of Sydney.

At the front of the building, there is a large statue of Queen Victoria.

This is the entrance to the building.

You're always able to catch some really talented artists outside this building as they display their artworks. Some times there are some buskers who have real talent as well.

This is one of the highlights of this building. It is an interesting clock as from every angle, you are able to view different miniature displays which represents the history of Australia. This includes the first settlers, the stolen generation and so on. There is also a ship which rotates around the clock as it counts the seconds of time.

The top floor of this building has a lot of natural lighting as the ceiling has glass windows that arches over the building.

There are also stained glass windows throughout the building which I find is very unique and beautiful.

Overall, this building is quite beautiful and unique. What I like about it most is that you're able to see up close the details of this building and also learn about the history of Australia. What do you think?
