This year was the first time we made it out to the Alafia River Rendezvous, which is a pre-1840 historical event. This was a neat historical festival. These are some of the sights:

We got to try the cornbread that they were baking in this one, and it was yummy!

There was so much to see here that we had a hard time getting to it all. Overall the kids had fun walking around and looking at the different booths, playing in the hay and eating hand pies. It was a hot, sunny day for January. So we didn't stay as long as we had planned to stay, but we will definitely plan go go back in the future. This is the website for next year's schedule. http://floridafrontiersmen.com/
