Crusader Castle

The highly talked about ancient castle sits atop a mountain in Jordan. Once can reach it from Amman in a couple of hours by road.
Besieged by Salah ad-Din al-Ayyubi in 1183 and 1184. Both the time, the siege had to be lifted. In 1187, Salah ad-Din finally captured the Karak castle along with most of the Jerusalem.
Karak has immense historical significance due to the crusades.

Definitely a place worth visiting if you ever go to Jordan. The views from the top are absolutely gorgeous.
If you like travelling and exploring historical places then you will certainly not be disappointed.
