Babusar Pass or Babusar Top

Northern areas of Pakistan contains tons hidden beautiful places that are waiting to be explored. "Babusar pass" is among one such pass. Babusar Top the highest point in the Kaghan Valley at an elevation of 13,700 ft (4,200 meters).

The pass connects Gilgit Baltistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The journey from Diamer to Mansehra takes seven hours through the pass, while the same distance is covered in 14 hours on the Karakoram Highway. The Babusar Pass reduces the distance from the north to the capital by around five or six hours. Most local people use it because of short distance but tourists prefer it because of the views it offers.

The pass is closed during winter due to heavy snow fall, which is more than half of the year.

There is also an airport in Gilgit. Here is an aerial view of Babusar Pass taken from a PIA passenger airplane by the Late Pilot, who died in an airplane crash on the same route.
