Since a while ago, I saw so many people uploading unique photos underwater on social networks like Instagram, Facebook and others. Making more and more Instagram account users made more curious. As a result, "Umbul Ponggok" is very crowded with local tourists now on vacation and relieving fatigue. To get rid of my curiosity, I continued to trace it;
"Umbul Ponggok "is located in Ponggok Village, Polanharjo District, Klaten, Central Java. From Yogyakarta it can be taken approximately 1 hour by private vehicle. The Ponggok Pennant is open every day from 07.00 - 17.00 WIB.
To enter Umbul Ponggok tourists are required to pay a fee of Rp 5,000 per person. For tourists who want to snorkel but don't carry equipment, there is also a snorkeling rental place in Umbul Ponggok. Here's a list of prices: Rp. 5,000 frog feet, snorkel, Rp. 10,000, Rp. 5,000 floats, Rp. 5,000 tires.
The bulb is not like a normal bathing pool, it is quite unique. As the largest freshwater pool in Klaten with a pool area of about 50 m x 25 m and has a depth of about 1.5 m-3 m. Visitors can feel the sensation of swimming freely in a freshwater pond and accompanied by fish of various sizes and colors. Yes, indeed the management intentionally maintains several types of freshwater fish to provide additional attraction. No need to be afraid of the fishy smell that comes from fish, because pond water is routinely replaced with water from springs. That is why the water in this pool is always clear. Drainage of the pool uses the 2 sluice method on two sides of the pond, the first door is used to remove water and the second is used for water intake. With regular water changes, that is why the ponggok pennant pool does not need maintenance like a pool in general. So that there is no need to add chlorine, a chemical that is used to cleanse pond water from bacteria, gangs or moss. Because it does not contain chemicals, you are free to dive with fish for a long time and without fear of making your eyes red.
