Real Life Captured #211: Pai Thailand! Part Two (10 photos)

in travel •  6 years ago

Hey there my Steemit friends! In this "Real Life Captured Series" I do my best to bring you exactly that; the real life captured from destinations all around the world! After twelve years of travel experience my favorite thing to do is walk around! That's right, I simply like to go to foreign countries and walk around. I observe (and now photograph) the people, food, culture, way of everyday life and bring it to you in this "Real Life Captured Series".

In early 2019 I spent almost two months in Pai Thailand. This is one of those places that you just can't help fall in love with. Everything from the food, to the weather, and especially the people made Pai such an amazing place. Not to mention it's a budget travelers dream. Talk about having a great life style for very little money.

My days consisted of eating at my favorite restaurant in the entire country Pen's Kitchen, socializing with fellow travelers, lounging by the pool, having motor bike adventures in the surrounding country side, and getting massages often five times a week. Guess what; my daily budget seldom broke 20 dollars a day. Life is good in Pai, I came for a week and stayed two months! Now let's have a look around.

With over 12 years of travel experience I answer travel and international lifestyle questions. Leave a question in the comments and I may make a Steemit post just for you!

You did it again, simply breaking through my fears of travel... however the caves almost lost me. Caves scare me anyway. Keep up the traveling and we will meet up one of these days and I will buy you a drink in Pai!!! Have an amazing night and cannot wait to see so many more pics! Of course I resteemed because I LOVED your post.

Tammy you're too kind! Thank you so much! Looking forward to meeting you in person one day as well, and Pai would not be a bad place to do so. Thank you for the resteem! Have a great day! From Bali - Dan

Oh it’s a plan! I cannot wait to also see your Bali adventure too—— you are absolutely making me beyond travel jealous !! Talk to you soon and have fun in Bali 😁🍸tammy

Thanks Tammy. You are so kind :)

Cool stuff, good buddy, but I'm going to agree with @tammyp about the caves - no way in hell. Perhaps it's because I grew up in earthquake country, but I strongly dislike being underground. Even underground parking garages give me the willies.

Yes this is not how I want to die - I did zip line in Costa Rica ... I’m good. Oh and @redpossum hell to the no on the underground parking garages ..

Interesting never really thought about like that. However I was in a 7.2 earthquake in Ecuador a couple years ago. That was nuts. Lucky for me I was in 4 star beach front resort. Solid building. I almost stayed in the backpacker dumpy area, where people were killed. Someone was looking out for me that day.

What a MAGICAL PLACE! :) All that fun, sight seeing and eating! :) Massages 5 days a week! :) And your daily budget barely broke $20!?!?! :) I can most definitely resonate how you stayed much longer than you anticipated! :) I am so VERY happy that you are enjoying this Planet so VERY MUCH! :) Thanks again and again for bringing us along! :) Your Friend @extraterrestrial :)

Exactly. I think I've gotten over 500 massages in my life now. Keeps me young! lol

I focus on the swing image, does it function for the public

Yes, but it's quite dangerous. I watched a tourist almost injure himself bad on it.
