Hey there my Steemit friends. I can't believe I am only now just getting to posting these photos of one of the most interesting places I visited on San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos. It took a two dollar, half hour bus ride to get there to the eastern side of the island. I learned from the manger at my hotel that this bus only runs on Sunday. So I planned this trip on Sunday and in Travel Pro Budget Fashion I saved over $50 in taxi fares!
I'll post the photos of the bus and the time schedule as a little bonus to help anyone out who is visiting. Here in the Galapagos is like living a photographers dream; especially if you enjoy photographing nature and wild life. The good thing about photographing these tortoises is that they certainly weren't going anywhere fast. Unlike those finch birds who would not sit still for more than five seconds.
The Breeding Center is a designated area with about a kilometer hiking trail. This trail was so much fun as the entire area was filled up with these mammoth turtles. They were on the trail, around the trail, they were all over which made for an exciting hike through this very unique Galapagos landscape. There was also a small museum with exhibits so I've included a couple of these photos as well to further your turtle education! Now let's have a look around this place!

So many of them, in the zoo here they don't have many or they don't have them out for the kids to see them.
Nice to have a place just all about them, to roam freely.

I have posted photos of baby Galapagos turtle spotted in my town which was unbelievable because its uk not a Galapagos, and it is quite possible that he was actually a baby of your turtles from your article, because the owner and his turtle was from Galapagos too :)

Yes I think it was one of the main animals that helped inspire Darwin's theory of evolution. So glad you've been enjoying the photos. So are you guys really planning a trip there? You don't have tickets or anything yet do you?

So many turtles :O Why does the bus work only in Sunday? Is that a special day in the Galapagos or something so the people there are in a rush? You have been to many locations but I got to ask... Have you been in Bora Bora?

No I've never been to Bora Bora, but sounds like I should go. I think the bus only goes there on Sunday as that's the day the locals have off from work. They are not paying 50 dollars round trip for taxi, so the bus is scheduled to leave when they can actually go.....Sunday.
Every other day it's gauge the tourist time with the expansive taxis.
