My trips: Doha, Qatar

I have been in Doha three times, not for long, but long enough to experience the majority of the city. The architecture is spectacular and views from the sea are amazing. I was blown away by the hospitality of people of Qatar. Seasonal workers are from different parts of the world. Some of the staff I met in the hotel were from Turkey, very nice people and extremely helpful with weather advise.

In Doha most the of walking is done in the Al Conrniche street by the seaside. Night time is the best to take photos of the water and city skyline. This 5 mile walk should not be taken lightly, my advise, take plenty of water with you.

The Souq Waqif was absolutely incredible. I love spices and I could have shopped in there forever, and I did spend most of my time in the bazaar. Stores and restourants are open at night. Food is delicious!!!

Sadly, I didn't spend much time outside during the day. It's a desert and during the summer the temperature is above 100 F. I went swimming around 7 a.m. one day, but didn't survive the hour in the beach. It was extremely hot and water was +90 F.

A lot more than you realize.
