중남미 여행에서 가장 중요하게 챙겨야 할 것/ The most important thing to do when you travel to Latin America

여행이란 일상성에서 떨어져 그 빛을 더해간다.

내 경우엔 그동안 삶이 빡빡하게 돌아가는 일정의 연속이였기에, 잠시 쉬어가는 순간의 지점이였다.
인프라가 잘 갖춰지거나 대중적인 여행지가 아닌 중남미였기에 사전에 준비해야할 것들이 다소 있었다.
무엇보다 여행하면서 ‘황열병과 같은 백신을 접종해야한다, 무엇을 준비해야한다.’는 ‘해야 하는 당위성’에 대한 것이 굉장 많았다.

요점부터 말하면. 다 사람사는 동네라서 사실... 없는것들은 그때 그때 준비하거나 말이 조금통한다면 현지인들한테 물어보는게 더 실용적일 때도 많았다. 다만 스킨로션이나 비상약같은 경우엔 기존에 사용한 것들이 아니라서, 살성이나 기존 면역력에 따라 달라지기도 했으나,..

오가는 한국 여행자로부터 급 공수하거나, 큰 도심지에 가서 큰 마트를 이용하면 대부분은 해결되었다.
내가 잘나가는 여행작가라던가.. 여행을 주로 하는 직업인은 아니지만..
시간적 여유가 된다면 그 나라의 언어는 기초적인 것은 꼭 배우고 가시라고 하고싶다.
나도 처음엔 스페인어의 알파벳도 모르고 어버버하고 1달 정도는 보냈었다.
그런데 이게 스페인어를 조금 할 주 아는 사람이면 다행이나, 나같이 잘 모르는 사람하고 가면 원하는 메뉴 하나, 길하나 물어볼 수 없는 게 벙어리, 귀머거리 신세가 따로없다.

생활에서 불편함을 낮추기 위한것도 있지만, 여행에서 나와 다른 방식으로 살고 있는 사람들의 삶을 들여다 보고, 그들의 문화를 보면 여행은 그 값어치를 100배로 한다.
멕시코의 국립 박물관을 들어가도 뭐가 뭔지 모르고 마치 난해한 미술관에서 미술작품을 보듯이 지나치지만 하고.
‘나 여기 왔다’ 라는 발자취 형식의 사진만 찍는 것이 나에겐 크게 남지 않았다. 나같은 경우엔,
기초적인 스페인어를 2달 정도 배우고 중미부터 밑으로 여행했는데, 하면 할수록 단순히 어디 들렸다가 아니라, 그 지역에 따라 기후에 따라 사는 사람들의 생각이나 생활습관, 그들의 문화를 살짝 엿볼 수 있어 좋았다.

그리고 대체적으로 외국인에게 호기심이 많은 중남미인의 정서적 특성상(물론 그렇지 않고 좀 틱틱되는 국가들도 있기는 하다) “나 여기 축제에 참여해도 돼? 어디가 물이 좋아? 맛있는게 뭐야?‘ 정도만 물어봐도. 그 이상의 다양한 체험을 할 수 있었다. 특히 최근엔 K-POP영향으로 젊은 친구들은 한국친구들에 대한 호감이 좋아, 같이 클럽가면 현지인과 같이 가니 안전하고, 그들 나름 데로의 즐길거리를 볼 수 있다.

영어를 기본적으로 할 주 안다면 기초 스페인어는 금방 할 수 있다고 생각한다(물론 사람에 따라 다르지만..)

기본적인 의사소통과 새롭게 접하는 것에 대한 호기심, 그리고 약간의 경계와 호감도를 구분할 주 안다면
중남미를 즐길 준비는 마쳤다고 생각한다.

Travel goes away from everyday life and adds that light.
In my case, it was a constant sequence of life going on tight, so it was a moment of resting moment.
There were a few things to prepare in advance because it was Latin America, not a well-equipped or popular tourist destination.
Most of all, there was a lot of 'must-do' in vaccination such as yellow fever, what should be prepared.
Speaking from the point. Many people live in the neighborhood. In fact, there are many things that are not practical when it comes to asking local people if things are not prepared at the time, However, in the case of skin lotion or emergency medicine, it was not used already, and it changed depending on the immune system and immunity,
Most of them were solved by airing from a Korean traveler or by going to a big downtown area and using a big mart.
I am not a travel writer or a traveling professional.
If you can afford time, I would like to learn that the basic language. I did not even know the Spanish alphabet at first, and I spent a month or so in a bourbon. However, I was glad that this is someone who knows a little Spanish,
when I went someone who didn't know spanish like me, sometime I becomed dumb, deaf.
There are some things to reduce discomfort in your life, but when you look at the lives of people who live in different ways from their travels, and look at their culture, the trip is 100 times as much.
Even if you enter the national museum in Mexico, you do not know what it is. It did not leave much to me to take a picture of the footsteps of 'I came here'. In the case of me, I learned basic Spanish for two months and traveled from Central America to the bottom. The more I had to do it, the more I could get a glimpse of the thoughts, lifestyle and culture of people living in the climate, it was good.
And, on the whole, it is because of the emotional nature of Latin American people who are curious about foreigners (and there are some countries that are not so tactical). "Can I participate in the festival here? Where is the hottest club? What's delicious? ' I was able to experience various more than that. Especially recently, K-POP is influenced by K-POP, so it is good for Korean friends, and if they go to club together, they can go to local people and enjoy their own safety.
If you know how to speak English basically, I think basic Spanish can be done soon (although it depends on the person ..)
I think that you are ready to enjoy Central and South America. if you know the basic communication, curiosity about getting new, and some boundaries and favorability.
