Yes a lot of people knock England, our green and pleasant land, but as you rightly say there are some great places. A place to add to your list, that I hadn't visited until last year, is Northumberland. It truly has some of the best beaches I have ever seen. Ever. And many of them were absolutely empty. OK, it was October but still, it was lovely weather. If you ever get the chance, please go and visit. If you have a dog, definitely go and visit!
