Kaptai lake is located in Rangamati district of Bangladesh. This is an artificial lake. In 1956, the dam was constructed on the Karnafuli river.
After the construction of the barrage, many agricultural land of Rangamati district was submerged and a lake was created. The lake is now the lake of Kaptai.
Kaptai lake is now surrounded by beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains. There are now tourists' venues. In addition to local hill people, many Bengali people also live there.
