One of the day trips we did in Koh Rong, Cambodia. You can read more about our trip here: https://steemit.com/travel/@zalb/travel-in-cambodia-breakdown-part-ii-koh-rong
Basic Information:
- cost: 20$/person
- duration: 5h
- fishing experience: beginner
We met some French travelers on Koh Rong and we decided that we would like to go on a fishing trip together. We started to ask around it didn't take us long to find a boat and some fishing rods that will take us out to fish and cook our catch on a boat with one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen.
So we boarded the longtail (a traditional Cambodian fishing boat) around midday. It took us about 30 minutes to reach our first fishing spot.
We caught a lot of fish all shapes, colors, and sizes, with an occasional rush of adrenalin feeling heavier loads on our fishing rods that usually resulted in tangled lines or catching some none-eatable objects :).
We moved around a few times to some different locations. The time went fast and it was almost time for the sun set. As a bonus to our trip, we got to stop at the Long Beach where we enjoyed a one of a kind sunset while eating our modest catch! It wasn't the best food we ate on the trip but it was ours :)
I guess we have to go to a few more trips like this to get some more experience. Nevertheless, we had tons of fun and great memories!
