Bukit Kapur, Tinggi Raja

Hello friends this time I will share my little experience go to Bukit Kapur, Tinggi Raja. I went there almost 4 years ago. Traveling there takes about 3 to 4 hours from Medan Using the route: Medan-Lubuk Pakam-Galang-Dolok Masihul-Nagori Dolok-Dolok Tinggi Raja. There are actually 2 more routes: Medan-Lubuk Pakam-Tebing Tinggi-Dolok Merawan-Dolok Tinggi Raja Medan-Lubuk Pakam-Galang-Bangun Purba-Dolok Tinggi Raja The route I went through was the route of Medan-Lubuk Pakam-Galang-Dolok Masihul-Nagori Dolok-Dolok Tinggi Raja. It takes a long time to get there, One of the causes is the access road to enter Bukit Kapur is still considered not too good to pass there are still many rocky roads and uneven road. But now I do not know if the road there is better as I said at the beginning I went there 4 years ago maybe now there has been a lot of change. First of all when we get there we need to park our vehicles first in a place like a stop post because we still need about 15 minutes into. Not far from post stop we can see something like a pool of hot springs. the water in the pool looks boiling.

After viewing the hot water pool we start our journey which is about - 15 minutes into which there is a lake of hot springs. In the journey we need to pass a hill that consists of lime.Maybe this is why the place is called limestone.Some people there are also called it Kawah Putih of northern sumatra or also Salju Panas because of the lime white color and little hot.In journey we must be careful in walking because it is easy to slip considering the path that we passed is lime.

After 15 minutes until there we can see the lake of hot springs which he said reaches 90 degrees Celsius.Water of Lake flows into the river Bah Balakbak a rocky and watery clear and cool. I see there are some people who try to boil eggs inside the lake. Maybe the eggs can be cooked. If we feel hungry we can buy instant noodles cup near there or want to drink there are some options as well as tea or coffee because there are some small stalls. But unfortunately a lot of garbage scattered also around there may be a lack of awareness of the visitors and people who sell not to litter.

As I remember not far from the lake of hot springs there is also a river beside the cliff. To get to the river must go down to the cliff. It is a bit dangerous so I do not go down in the river.
