Maastland is a small island on the west coast of Sweden. It is a vibrant sailing center. It hosts sailing events every summer and gathers a large number of sailing enthusiasts. At that time, the crowds are full of excitement and joy and passion. However, I prefer its autumn season, no noise, no sea, sailing has stopped, quietly parked in the harbor, except for the waves of the autumn wind, the rest is like a still picture. Walking in such a quiet and gentle atmosphere, or sitting in the warm sunshine, reading and being in a daze are rare relaxations.
Maestrand is Sweden's most popular holiday destination. The 19th century's popular "sea bath" in Sweden has made it the focus. Even the royal family have come here for a holiday and enjoy a rare sunbathing.
The resort facilities are complete, hotels, guesthouses, and youth hostels are conveniently located, with a variety of shops selling souvenirs, daily necessities, and equipment for vacation.
From the seaside through the residential area to the top of the mountain, there is a historic Carl Sternsburg guarding this beautiful island, once used as a prison for heavy criminals, the tall and sturdy walls are prohibitive, or look
Standing on the platform of the fortress, you can overlook the distant seascape, and the flat coast is immersed in the sun, beautiful light and shadow.
There are occasional local residents traveling in the clean alleys, and more of us outsiders, slowing down and lowering the voice, lest to break the silence here.
The colorful colors of autumn enveloped every corner of the town, and it was full of vitality.

There is the road E6 going through all Norway and then from Oslo to Göteborg and down to Malmö and further south towards Italy - but for people sailing in Bohuslän, "E6" means the sailing route from Oslo to Gothenburg, and it passes between Marstrand and Koön.
