AUROVILLE is a state no religion , politics or hierarchy , it's an experimental township in Viluppuram district in india . there are more than 2000 persons from other country live in auroville and are self-sufficient , electricity comes from renewable energy .
inhabitant build thing with their own hands , and scientist and university graduates and autodidacts work together , solar power panel are sold to the indian government and they produce many goods for export , the community turned a wasteland into a jungle and city , there are organic farms and a grocery shop with no price tags .
the locals earn money for the city not for themselves and they get salary for daily needs . Not just anyone can become an auroville citizen , there's one year probation period after which one can join community , once for all following the auroville charter .
