Step by step simulation of a travel #travelcheap

Discalimer: I like to write, but I think I make sens with what I write and it's worth the time to read, so don't get discouraged and go tl;dr on me, please.

I kept saying "follow me to see more of this series" and the series was in my head.. well I guess this is called "building as you go" and I got a much needed help from the edit button.

What I mean by "building as you go" is that I'm now at my 5th post and I go back and review my previous 4 ones and keep adjusting them so they will become part of a series. I now have a name for it: #travelcheap
..and of course this will not be possible without the edit feature.

But, as our saying goes "long talk is cheap", I'll change to the post's subject which is: demo.

Demo is a step by step simulation of a travel experience from (and today's winner is): Madrid
Destination: Ceahlau (one of the beautiful mountains close to my town)

• Flight
  I picked september for a cheaper fare. Local temperatures are "summer like ones" in september here.
  2 ways trip, 1 adult costs 106 euros.
  

• Car
  7 days car rent, pick-up and drop-off in the airport. Picking the cheapest at 273 euros.
  
  Gassoline or petrol costs 1 euro per liter.

• Alternative
  Taxi 4.5 euro from airport to bus station
  
  Bus 5.5 euros from Bacau to Iasi
  
  Bus 6.5 euros from Iasi to Durau
  

• Acomodation
  22 euros per night for 2 persons in a double room
  3 stars guest house with kitchen with everything you need, outside barbecue area, all rooms have balcony, private toilets, soap, shampoo, towels.
  
  
  
  

Add in a 13.5 euro per night per person if you want to treat yourself to a night at the mountain top lodge locate at 1750 meters, in a 4 persons room.

• Food
  Sample from carrefour supermarket. The highest cost in the list are shrimps at 10 euro per kg. This is just so you can make a reference. Prices are in euro. Divide by 4.5 to get the price in euro.

I'd say you can do 3 meals / day with 30 euros or 2 days of supermarket food for the same amount.
105 euros should give you 7 days of supermarket food for one adult.

• Auxiliaries
  Let's say you just found out your backpack need to be replaced or you picked so many souvenirs you'll need an additional baggage.
  You can pick up a 40L backpack for 15.5 euros with 10 years warranty.
  
  Or if it's rainy buy a rain cover for 5.5 euros
  

• What do I get in return?

• Let's sum up
  #onbudget: 106 euros (plane ticket) + 16.5 euro x 2 (taxi and bus from airport to destination) + 22 euros x 7 (accommodation) + 107 euros (food). Total 400 euros
  #makeitrain (in other words: I can afford spending some extra cash): 106 euros (plane ticket) + 273 euros (7 days car rental) + 50 euros petrol(for 350km) + 22 euros x 7 (accommodation) + 27 euros(2 nights at the mountain top lodge) + 210 euros (restaurant food 3 meals/day) + 21 euros (new backpack and rain coat). Total 841 euros
